The Bookkeeping Companion offers a 7-day free trial when you sign up for Pro or Elite. We require a payment method at signup (to prevent trial abuse), but you won't be charged until the trial ends on day 8.
During the trial, you have full access to your chosen tier — including all video modules, the practice ecosystem, and the AI tutor. Cancel anytime during the trial from your account settings and you won't be charged. Module 1 and the free Learning Path remain accessible forever.
If you subscribe to Pro ($14.99/month) or Elite ($29.99/month) and decide it's not a good fit, you can request a pro-rated refund within 7 days of payment by emailing billing@bookkeepingcompanion.com.
To cancel future payments without requesting a refund, go to your account settings and click "Cancel subscription." Your access continues until the end of your current billing period, and you won't be charged again.
If you subscribe to Pro Annual ($119/year) or Elite Annual ($239/year), you can request a pro-rated refund within 30 days of the initial annual payment. After 30 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable but can be canceled to prevent renewal.
For partial-year refund calculations, the unused portion is refunded based on a per-month rate from the date of cancellation.

We process refund requests within 3 business days. Refunds are returned to your original payment method and typically appear within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank.
If you have a billing issue, please contact us first at billing@bookkeepingcompanion.com. We can usually resolve issues faster than a chargeback process.
Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in account termination. Chargebacks for legitimate completed services are subject to dispute through our payment processor.
Upgrades (Pro to Elite): The difference is pro-rated and charged immediately. New billing cycle starts at the new tier.
Downgrades (Elite to Pro): Takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. No refund for the unused portion of the higher tier in the current period.
Monthly to Annual: You can switch at any time. The annual amount is charged in full, and any remaining time on your monthly subscription is credited.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. They handle all transactions, payment data security, and tax remittance. For payment-specific issues, contact us first — we coordinate with Lemon Squeezy on your behalf.
